Yavorskiy Studio is proud to be a part of a project that supports local communities around the world during covid-19 pandemic

My name is Stanislav Yavorskiy and I am a photographer in Newmarket, Ontario.
For the next few weeks I am offering to create 'Front Steps Portraits' for families in Newmarket.

The Front Steps Project-6.jpg

This is our good neighbour on the front steps of their home.

It feels like the world has stopped, doesn’t it?

But we are in it together! Allow us to capture this historic and uncertain times we are all going through. Everyone is unique in its precious private moment and that is very fragile and valuable. We would like to create a history in images and help a neighbor in need.

#thefrontstepsproject  was inspired and green lit by Needham photographer Cara Soulia! Thank you Cara for inspiring and creating a movement of Hope and Unity!

As a photographer, I spend hours every week capturing images of families in times of joy: babies on the way, newborns, siblings, grandparents and more. Those moments of joy are still happening in homes right now. I know it. But I can’t be there to capture them.

Starting today, We are taking five minute "Front Steps Portraits" of Newmarket residents.  After your quick session, We will email you the digital file of your portrait.  In exchange, we are asking you to make a good faith donation to support  us and a neighbor in need. We will keep everyone posted on distribution of help. The goal is to dedicate 50% of raised money to people in Newmarket Community who are in need the most during this difficult times. We will be posting these images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TheFrontStepsProject

The purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might feel isolated.  I am to highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at the grocery store, coffee shop, on the train or at the gym.  Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need it most right now in Newmarket.

I will be taking images outside ONLY and from at least 10 feet away. Our session will be brief, likely just 5 minutes. This is not a typical get-dressed-up-and-pose-for-the-photographer session. Want to stand outside in your pajamas and slippers? Sounds good to me. Kids in mismatched clothes but you’re thrilled they got dressed? Fantastic. Wearing your bike gear because you’re headed off to ride a trail in the nice weather? Love it!  Be you.

In exchange for the digital file of your family portrait, I ask you to make a good faith donation.  Donation is $50 but if you wish to donate more, it is greatly appreciated.
